As many of you know, I’m a talkative guy, yet when it comes to describing my wonderful wife Asta, I become tongue-tied. So in honor of this month which celebrates love, I decided to create a Valentine for her using a poem I wrote for her many years ago. We’ve been married for 15 years now, have a wonderful 11-year-old son Erik, and it just keeps getting better.

To Understand what is love where is love who is love how to love

I understand you understand we understand closer to love

to understand try to understand listen to understand always open to understand closer to love

we must understand we have to understand fight to understand

and when I understand who you are what you are how you are where you are I am closer to love

and understanding takes patience and wisdom and love

do you understand? do I understand? how to understand!
