The 2014 Edison Earth Day Celebration will be co-presented by the Township of Edison, Edison Township Environmental Commission and the Edison Sustainable Jersey Green Team on Sunday, April 27 from 9 AM to 3 PM. This annual, family-friendly, outdoor event will be staged at Papaianni Park. Following Mayor Thomas Lankey’s opening address, a number of presenters, exhibitors, vendors and speakers will be featured.  Event activities will include volunteer plantings, site cleaning and the Central Jersey Bicycle Association Bike Ride.  Food will be available to purchase on-site. The Edison Clean Communities Program will provide free, re-usable water bottles, as well as sponsor the portable rest facilities at the event. Free parking will be available for event participants and visitors. The rain date is May 4.
