Central NJ Chapter of Room to Read Basking Ridge

We are seeking to expand our active volunteers in Princeton and Summit and most recently in Flemington. We welcome volunteers of all ages to help our chapter raise funds and awareness for global literacy. We have the freedom to be creative in designing events to facilitate these objectives.

For example, our current 2014 fundraising project is collecting recipes for a community cookbook to be sold during the holiday season. We also do presentations for Girl Scout troops to enable them to earn their Philanthropist Badge. We organize read-a-thons, shopping events, Readers to Leaders speaking events and book sales.
