To All the Wonderful Women

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s that time of year when we celebrate all the moms out there. A time to reach out and let them know how much they mean to us, and that we feel eternally grateful for everything they have done to raise us and enrich our lives.

The beauty of nurturing, though, isn’t confined to children. Everywhere around me I see women “mothering” their pets; fighting like a momma bear for animal rights; tenderly caring for their gardens and the planet, as well as reaching out to those who are sick or troubled. Many are also mothers of children; many others are not. Yet the source each draws from is the same—a vast well of nurturing, and yes, maternal energy.

This month, I hope you take time out for yourself to relax and recharge, and let those who love you give you some much needed care. You deserve it.
