Sex and Spirituality Workshop

Sex and spirituality is often separated in our culture, yet ancient tantric practices view sex as an integral path to the Divine. There is no distinction between mind, body, heart and spirit. Sexuality and spirituality spring from the same sacred source. On Saturday, February 18 from 1-3, Dr. Janet M. Oussaty will help participants expand their capacity for love. Students will explore a variety of introductory tantric practices individually and with others. Personal reflection and journal writing are included. These practices can help release, open and expand our capacities for deep, vibrant Divine love. It is not so much about having great sex, it is more about having a sexier life.

Our longing for intimacy in our culture often results in a search for a soul mate, believing that if we find the right partner, intimacy will happen. Knowing and loving ourselves, however, is the ground from which authentic sacred sexuality emerges. First, we must risk loving ourselves and only then can we share ourselves with others- without fear or shame. As Buddha says, “You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.”

The workshop fee is $30 in advance and $35 at the door.

Location: Yoga Central, 953 Rt. 202 N, Branchburg. 908-707-0759. To register, call Janet Oussaty at 908-635-1822 or email [email protected]. Dr. Janet M.
