Owner of Sanctuary Massage, Barbara Leitner, LMT, is expanding her practice and accepting new clients at her beautiful Flemington location. The practice specializes in manual lymph drainage (MLD) massage, which is a specialized skin touch therapy focused on improved function of the lymphatic system. As the waste management system of the body and a support to healthy immune function, the lymphatic system plays a vital role in overall health. Lymphatic flow can be interrupted or become congested as a result of illness, surgery, trauma, environmental pollutants, injury or structural damage. Manual lymph drainage serves to restore flow and optimal function of this system.
